Winter Weather Update for Montgomery County

Winter Weather Update for Montgomery County

Status Update from the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for Montgomery County from now until 12PM tomorrow. Additionally, a Hard Freeze Warning and Wind Chill Advisory will go into effect starting at 6PM tonight for Montgomery County. A light freezing rain and sleet mix is possible as the front continues to move in this evening.

Later tonight, after temperatures have dropped below freezing, ice accumulations of up to a tenth of an inch are possible. This could cause slippery road conditions along elevated roads, bridges and overpasses overnight and into Friday morning.

We would like to remind our citizens to only call 911 in the event of an emergency. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will continue to monitor this situation and will send out updates as conditions change.

Any county road closures can be found via MCTX LIVE. Additionally, please follow the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the most up to date information.
