There are several watches and warnings in Montgomery County at this time:

· Tornado watch in effect until 1:00PM today

· Flash Flood Warning in effect until August 29, 7:00pm

· Flood warning in effect until 2:15pm today

Hurricane Harvey is moving very slowly at less than 2MPH, it is expected to stall later today and weaken to a tropical storm drift back to Matagorda Bay and move slowly north over the next 5 days.  This means periods of heavy rain and catastrophic flooding remains in the forecast. Montgomery County rainfall predictions for Saturday through Thursday are between 15 and 30 inches. At this time all rivers and creeks that are monitored by a river gauge are below flood stage.
