THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY OFFICE
OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
October 24, 2019 – 11:30 AM
Cold Front to Bring Rain Overnight
Status Update from the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management on Upcoming Weather Conditions
Overnight a cold front will push through the region. Timing of the front passage will be roughly midnight to 3 AM in our area, then exiting the coast around 3 to 6 AM. Forecast rainfall totals range from 1-3” by Friday afternoon. Brief intense rainfall rates associated with the frontal passage or training of storms may result in a very slight flash flood risk.
Additionally, this cold front should help to absorb or push the current tropical disturbance in the Gulf away from the Texas Coast. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will continue to monitor the upcoming weather situation, and provide updates as statuses change.
